The Genius of the Sea - Sculpture by Carlo Sarrabezolles
The representation of the genius of the seas is manifested through the image of a man holding a trident in one hand and a sea conch in the other. Its two lower limbs take the shape of fish tails, while a procession of three dolphins follows it. The sculpted base evokes the sea depths. Her face, with fish eyes, is framed by a head of seaweed hair. The sculptor deliberately stretched the torso by adding an extra vertebra.
